    CAPE UNION'S ASSETS

Evan Torrance, Cape Union Mart, Cape Town.

Your article on Thebe Investment (Business December 2) incorrectly indicated that Cape Union Mart was 100% owned by the Thebe Tourism Group.

The correct position is that the Retail Division of Thebe Tourism Group holds a majority stake in Batsumi Airport Ventures, a joint venture company with Cape Union Mart Group.

Batsumi owns and operates three franchised Cape Union Mart outlets in prime tourist destinations, namely Cape Town and Johannesburg International airports, and Quay Four at the V&A Waterfront.

All the other Cape Union Mart and Old Khaki outlets are 100% owned by Cape Union Mart. The Cape Union Mart Group is an unlisted, privately owned company.
