    200 teams and 5 602 players took part in 853 games, with 2 344 goals, in the knockout stages of the 2010 soccer World Cup.

    32 countries made it to the last stage, in SA, which kicks off on June 11 and ends on July 11.

    64 matches will be played.

    7 is the number of games it will take for a team to win the cup.

    R23bn The estimated cost of hosting the World Cup.

    350 000 visitors are expected to come to SA for the tournament.

    R9,8bn is the amount of money they are expected to spend.

    129 000 Jobs expected to be created by SA hosting the event.

    674 403 The number of tickets sold in the first two phases of ticket sales for the World Cup.

    53,6% of these tickets were sold to South Africans.

    1m tickets went on sale in the third phase, from December 5.

    R200 is the price of the cheapest ticket; R1 120 is the most expensive ticket.

    7 teams - Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Spain and the US - have qualified for the past six Fifa World Cup tournaments.

    43 is the age of Monserrat's Kenny Dyer, who was the oldest player in the qualifying round.

    14 The youngest player - Abdi Abdifatah of Somalia.
