    Good call

    By Larry Claasen

The Nokia E72 is the latest in the cellphone maker's impressive range of business phones.

It has a better camera, faster processor and better graphics than its predecessor, the E71, which set a high standard. There are also new features such as a digital compass, which along with the GPS makes it easier to find your way around, and a torch - not a standard feature on a business phone.

But the real comparison is with rival Research In Motion's BlackBerry range. Both make very good handsets and if there were to be a shoot-out with the BlackBerry Bold 9700, it would be a close thing.

Research In Motion has always had the advantage with its e-mail service, but Nokia has improved its business and personal e-mail setup.

Price-sensitive consumers will probably opt for the E72, which is much cheaper than the Bold 9700.

As an E71 user, I do like the E72 but will not upgrade to it: Nokia and BlackBerry are unveiling improved business phones every few months and chances are that better devices will be available by the time my contract comes up for renewal.
