Stuart Woolmington's motto is simple: "All men die, but not all men live." MD and founding member of thewinwingroup, the former soldier has spent the past decade helping individuals identify and reach their full potential.

His method fuses marketing, communication and learning processes to change employee behaviour. The company was founded by a group of friends who, after graduation, noticed that employers' neglect of staff development meant they were failing to get the best out of them.

It has evolved to focus also on entrepreneurship, one of Woolmington's passions.

    Stuart Woolmington
He says one of the reasons entrepreneurs fail is the old approach of funding start-ups but providing little support.

"Being an entrepreneur is about creating and keeping things, be it talent or resources. Often people think it's just about starting something. And that's why a lot of entrepreneurs fall by the wayside - they lack support." Raised and educated in Johannesburg, Woolmington is also the founder of "I am the Brand" , a brand-building methodology.

He says the group's focus now is Africa, where it intends to work with global companies in developing local talent. "Every business requires good people, resources and communication on the ground." The group employs 66 people and has offices in Namibia, Nigeria, Kenya and SA.
