CREGALINK CREDIT GUARANTEE As SA emerged from international isolation and faced greater international competition, product suppliers needed quicker decision-making on their insurable risks. Credit Guarantee, which provides credit risk protection for domestic and export trade receivables, responded with a Web-based business-to-business communication tool. Known as Cregalink, it enables clients to administer their credit insurance policies from their desktop safely and confidentially. The online application system has reduced the time taken for approval on credit insurance applications from 10 days to under three days. In 65% of cases the response is immediate. "This allows clients to enhance their competitive position by improving inquiry and order turnaround times but still trade with advance knowledge of the credit insurance status of their trading partners," says Credit Guarantee's John Thornton.
