    FINISHING SCHOOL AND WALKING TALL

    By Ethel Hazelhurst

Cida City Campus CEO Taddy Blecher. is setting up schools of excellence. "Students will be able to graduate from Cida City Campus with any of 15 professional industry-recognised certificates, along with their bachelor of business administration degree," he says.

With help from the SA Institute of Chartered Accountants (Saica), Cida is building an accredited undergraduate curriculum for accounting specialisation through the Cida school of accountancy, which was founded by PricewaterhouseCoopers. It is also working on sending Cida graduates to the Rand Afrikaans University (RAU) for their honours' year.

There is a Global School of African Leadership, including a Woman's School of Leadership.

Other schools of excellence are for Accounting; Finance & Banking; Short-Term Insurance; Health & Long-Term Insurance; Marketing & Market Research; Strategy, including the Centre for Research of Local & International Trends; Management; Entrepreneurship & Innovation; Operations Management; Communications; Human Asset/Resource Management & Development; Investments & Asset Management; IT and the New Economy.

Within each of these, Cida is partnering local institutes that are leaders in their respective fields.

Top local and international experts are on the steering committees of each school of excellence.
