Safe always

By Stephen Cranston

An exclusive agreement with the SA Weather Service allows Telesure to provide alerts to its clients.

Based on information supplied by the bureau, SMSes are sent, free of charge, to Telesure clients in the area where severe weather conditions are expected. This can help clients to take preventative action to ensure that their property is protected from severe weather conditions, and potentially assist them to reduce the number of claims resulting from damaged property.

The forecasts contain the type of condition, area, date and time on which the weather condition will occur and are generated by all six weather stations across the country. Examples of possible adverse conditions include the occurrence of hail; local road flooding; reduced visibility; strong winds; and first rain of the season, which could result in slippery road surfaces.
